I'm a storyteller at heart. As a reporter, I wrote narrative features for The Associated Press, the Orlando Sentinel and The Boston Globe. As a business writer, I helped a Fortune 500 professional services company shape & share its brand story.

Today, I'm a writer, book editor and writing coach, a job I love because I get to work on a range of interesting projects and meet smart, creative people from around the world.

I'm a published fiction and nonfiction writer with a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction and more than ten years of editing experience, which I use to help other writers turn their novels into manuscripts, and their manuscripts into books. For many of us, publishing our writing is a dream-- and I love helping writers make that dream come true.

I also help businesses, schools and nonprofit organizations tell their stories through compelling articles, web copy, white papers, and marketing material. I like helping companies find a distinctive voice through clear, memorable pieces that people will read--and remember.

When I'm not writing, I love to read, cook, hike in the woods around my home in New Hampshire, and travel. I have a particular love affair with London, and my fiction often explores the relationship between women and place. You'll see photos from my travels around my website.
